This bank holiday in June is certainly a cause for celebration. The occasion is to mark the Queen’s 60 year reign. With all of England due to be celebrating in different ways, no doubt with union jacks galore, Leeds will be no different and certainly joining in the festivities. Diamond Monday at Chilli White
Chilli White will be hosting an extra special event on Monday 4th June in celebration of the Jubilee, encouraging you all to take advantage of having no work on Tuesday!
There will be a photo booth allowing you to have your own photo with The Queen herself. 2 for 1 drinks, special Guest DJ’s and just £1 entry before 11.30pm, it’s the perfect place to spend Monday night.
1Xtra Champagne Jubilee at Mezz
On Sunday 3rd June Mezz club will be hosting a big red, white and blue party. DJ’s from all over will be playing guest sets, including BBC Radio 1Xtra’s very own DJ Cameo bringing the best in Grime, Garage and bass lines, Young Lion providing the best Dancehall mixes and lastly DJ Q.
The club will be transformed for the red, white and blue theme, with free giveaway CD’s, horns and whistles for all and themed cocktails.

Dust to Diamonds at Oracle Bar
Oracle bar are hosting a special Jubilee night on Sunday 3rd June, with a champagne reception and free vodka jellies on arrival what more could you ask for? The perfect way to start your extended weekend in style. Guest list is just £10.

Harewood House will be hosting a quintessentially English bank holiday event for the Jubilee, the Harewood ‘Street Party’ on Sunday 3rd June. With classic English food from the Courtyard Cafe, brass bands, bunting, majorettes and a photography exhibition especially created in Her Majesty’s honour taken by Royal photographer Marcus Adams.
Tickets are £6 for students and £10 for adults, and if you bring along any older family members (over 60) they get in free!

Gildersome Sport’s club are hosting a Jubilee themed garden party on Monday 4th June. The day will be raising money for Leeds Children’s Hospital, a great cause, there will be charity stalls, rides & entertainment and of course food and drink with a BBQ.

Leeds Mencap Jubilee Garden Party
On Saturday 3rd June Leeds Mencap are celebrating in The Rookery with an afternoon of traditional British games, fancy dress competitions, stalls and even a Jubilee themed cake competition! Cloudy lemonade, scones and strawberries and cream will keep you refreshed throughout the day!

Diamond Jubilee Show at Leeds City Museum
The touring exhibition from the V&A has arrived in Leeds. Portraits of Queen Elizabeth II by royal photographer Cecil Beaton will be showcased at Leeds City Museum. This exhibition celebrates Her Majesty in her roles as princess, monarch and mother on her Diamond Jubilee year. Photographs, diaries, personal letters and press cuttings combine to tell a fascinating story.
The exhibition will show until 17th June. Admission is £2.50 for adults and £2 for concessions.
Band Boogie in Briggate
Seven Jazz have been asked by Leeds City Council to create a Big Band event celebrating the Jubilee weekend in the City Centre in Briggate on Sunday 3rd June from 11am – 4pm.
With the Big Band, a jazz band, salsa, calypso and the youth Jazz Orchestra all scheduled to play throughout the day to provide some entertainment and a soundtrack to your bank holiday weekend!
