May 23 until 25 saw the global dance community descend on Ibiza with more than clubbing on their mind, the fifth instalment of the International Music Summit (IMS) delivered thought provoking themes and discussions on the future on the electronic scene. The IMS has become an integral part of the global scene in a relatively short space of time as well as benchmarking the start of the Ibiza season. The Space opening fiesta has been a landmark of the Ibiza season for as long as we can remember; the unofficial opening for years, it also sets the benchmark for the rest of the season. It delivers a marathon to satisfy the appetite of thousands of clubbers who have been starved throughout the winter, assembling a monster line-up, assembling the flight arena in the car park, adding a festival element to the proceeding. A great showcase.
Plan Be also Launched with a very impressive line-up featuring some of Hot Creations, Hot Natured, Illusion records and Crosstown rebels finest talents such as; Russ Yallop, Wildkats, Infinity Ink, Alexis Raphael, Tom Craven and Plan Be residents No Artificial Colours and Acid Mondays. The opening party was bound to attract a crowd with such a strong appeal to deep house lovers. Aside from spoiling clubbers with a sick line-up the party also offered free invites and guest-list as well as free transport from neighbouring towns Playa d’en Bossa and San Antonio. The first 200 into the venue also managed to enjoy a couple of hours of free drinks.
